Institution of Rev'd. Rachel Noël as Vicar of St. James' Church, Pokesdown
On 14th March 2023, 7pm, Rev'd. Rachel gave a talk and shared her own story of life, faith, mental health and neurodiversity, which included the inspiration and motivation behind her paintings. The talk culminated in the reading of a personalised version of Psalm 139 by all those in attendance.
Following this talk, the Assistant Archdeacon, Rev'd. Canon Gary Philbrick, led a short service of Institution and Induction. Rev'd. Rachel has now changed from Priest-in-Charge to become Vicar of St. James' Church, Pokesdown.
Legally, the parish of St. James' Church, Pokesdown, had been in suspension, and our clergy had been appointed as Priest-in-Charge for about 15 years; This suspension has now been lifted within Diocesan plans.
